Assalaamu-alaykum,
From Parliament to masjids to TV studios… November and December were packed with delivery and growth.
Yes, this is a combined newsletter — it features an unforgettable award night and a season that saw foundations laid for the next stage of our work, alhamdulillah.

Muslim Youth Futures Report: Momentum Continues
In November, a report called Muslim Youth Futures: Our Voice, Our Vision, Shaping Our Society was officially launched in Parliament as part of the Goldsmiths Project.
The launch brought together policymakers, practitioners, youth workers, community leaders, and most importantly, young Muslims, to spotlight the realities and aspirations shaping the next generation.
While we shared this milestone previously, it feels important to return to it as the conversations sparked by the report are still unfolding. The report reflects a foundation for ongoing advocacy, collaboration and action.
Report launched: 11 November

DSL Training, Coaching & Safeguarding in Practice
November was a key month for delivery and wrap-ups across our safeguarding and development work.
DSL Training
DSL training delivered in Manchester on 1 November, supporting organisations to strengthen contextual safeguarding and leadership practice.
Coaching Cycle Completed
Our 6-week coaching cycle concluded in November, with session 5 delivered on 6 November and the final session (6/6) delivered on 13 November.
This completed a full training-to-coaching journey, supporting partners to embed learning into their youth provision.
Site Visits
Across November we carried out three site visits in North London, the West Midlands and Birmingham.
- Observing youth sessions and strengthening youth engagement
- Reviewing safeguarding and structures
- Offering tailored advice to support engagement

Fundraising Collections & Ramadan Volunteers
In November, we were invited to fundraise at East London Mosque, one of the most recognised masjids in the UK. With the support of new volunteers, we raised nearly £3,000 in one day.
In December, at Hayes Muslim Centre, we combined fundraising with something new — a joint youth session welcoming 15 young people, their highest turnout since relaunch.
Ramadan Call to Action
“Whoever guides someone to good will have a reward like the one who does it.”
Volunteering this Ramadan helps create safe spaces for young people. Join us and share in the reward, insha’Allah.
Muslim Youth Engagement Awards 2025
December’s highlight was the 3rd Annual Muslim Youth Engagement Awards, held on 14 December.
- 50+ organisations attended from across England and Wales
- 10 awards presented and 4 “Great Youth Hubb” plaques awarded
Partners joined us from Preston, Stoke, Nottingham, Leicester, London, Birmingham, Southampton, Wales, and beyond.
The awards showed that Muslims are at the forefront of youth engagement, especially as many youth services face defunding.
Award winners and nominees later featured on Islam Channel’s The Today Show and Salaam Britain.
January & Beyond
November and December also focused on preparing for our next training and coaching cycle, launching with four sessions across London and Leicester.
