Assalaamu-alaykum,
We pray that the month of Dhul Hijjah brought you and your loved ones many opportunities for reflection and reward.
Over the past two months, we’ve seen encouraging growth across our network, alhamdulillah. From national conversations on youth leadership to training youth workers, community fundraising initiatives and our first Seven Sisters Trek, the momentum continues to build.
📊 April & May By The Numbers
- 150+ attendees trained through our EET workshops
- 6 training locations across the UK
- 35 attendees at our Designated Safeguarding Lead workshop
- 19 organisations signed up to the Youth Hubb Book Club
- 12 Library Starter Packs distributed
- National youth leadership summit contribution
- Our first ever Seven Sisters Trek completed
- 5 coaching sessions delivered in our latest cycle
🏛️ National Summit for Imams & Community Leaders
We were honoured to contribute to the UK National Summit 2026 for Imams and Community Leaders, where Here For Youth CEO Ayub Seedat chaired a session titled:
“Forging Our Youth: The Mantle of Responsibility“
The discussion explored how mosques, trustees, imams and community leaders can work together to create environments where young people develop with confidence, belonging, purpose and faith.
It was particularly encouraging to see so many organisations from our own network represented and contributing to these important conversations.
📚 Training, Coaching & Safeguarding
More than 150 attendees participated in our How to Effectively Engage Teenagers (EET) workshops delivered across six locations nationwide.
Alongside the training programme, we delivered Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training and continued supporting participants through our coaching programme, helping youth workers put learning into practice within their own organisations.
Thank you to every host organisation and participant investing in stronger youth provision for their communities.
✅ What else we’ve been up to…
Seven Sisters Trek
In May, we hosted our first ever Seven Sisters Trek, bringing together supporters, volunteers and community members for a memorable day along the Sussex coastline.
The trek provided an opportunity to connect, reflect and raise support for the next stage of our youth engagement work. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated or helped make the day a success.
Youth Hubb Book Club Update
Our Youth Hubb Book Club initiative continues to grow, with 19 masjids and youth organisations now signed up and 12 organisations already receiving Library Starter Packs.
We’re excited to see more communities creating spaces that encourage a stronger culture of reading amongst young people.
Community Support & Generosity
Over April and May, community fundraising collections helped raise vital support for our work.
These visits not only help sustain our free training and coaching programme, but also provide opportunities to celebrate local efforts, strengthen relationships and raise awareness of the importance of investing in young people.
Thank you to every organisation and individual supporting this mission.
📅 Looking Ahead
September Training Programme
Our next How to Effectively Engage Teenagers training cycle begins in September.
If your masjid, youth club or community organisation would like to strengthen its youth provision, we’d love to hear from you.
