Assalaamu-alaykum,
July has been a month of quiet momentum and meaningful wins.
Behind the scenes, we’ve wrapped up key internal cycles, strengthened our partnerships with masjids, and laid the groundwork for a busy and purposeful season ahead.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s been happening:
🔧 Internal Highlights
Coaching Cycle Wrap-Up
This month marked the end of our latest coaching cycle — and it’s given us plenty to reflect on. From what’s working well to the challenges partners are facing, we’re using these insights to refine how we support hubbs going forward.
The learning is already feeding into planning and improvements for the next cycle.
Stronger Comms Strategy
We’ve been reshaping our communications approach — from the very first welcome call to post-coaching check-ins.
Our aim is to make every stage of the partner journey feel consistent, clear, and fully supported — so hubs always know what to expect and where to go for help.
September Training Prep
Our next national training cycle launches this September, and preparations are well underway. We’re building in more structure, clearer guidance, and a smoother partner experience from start to finish.
🤝 Masjid Outreach & Jummah Collections
This month, Rashid and the team took a big step forward in how we connect with mosques — not just to ask for support, but to build shared understanding around our vision.
At the heart of these conversations is our pay-it-forward model: the idea that today’s Jummah collections help fund the next generation of youth training and coaching, free of charge.
Key Wins This Month:
📞 30 masjids across London reached through direct, meaningful outreach
🤝 3 new mosques have joined as partners and are preparing for September training
🕌 Jummah collection dates are now aligned with training schedules for impact and ease
🧭 This new process is now being built into our partner onboarding journey
This isn’t just admin — it’s relationship-building. And it’s setting the stage for deeper, long-term collaboration with mosques who believe in growing youth work together, one khutbah at a time.
💬 Events & Representation
Muslim Charities Convention 2025 – London (3 July)
Our CEO, Ayub Seedat, attended this key gathering of leaders and practitioners from across the UK charity sector. Hosted by the Muslim Charities Forum, the day focused on the future of Muslim-led community work — with sessions on governance, collaboration, and responding to emerging needs.
It was a great opportunity to share reflections from our frontline youth work and build relationships with organisations tackling similar challenges.

Ai and the Muslim Community 2025 – Birmingham (19 July)
This timely event brought together technologists, scholars, and community leaders to explore the ethical and spiritual questions surrounding artificial intelligence.
Ayub joined thought-provoking discussions on how AI might impact Muslim communities, from safeguarding youth online to shaping faith-based content. Insights from the day are already feeding into how we think about tech and faith in our own programmes.
National Dawah Convention – Leicester (26 July)
We were proud to host a stall at this flagship event organised by iERA, which brought together hundreds of Muslims from across the country for a day of learning, inspiration, and networking.
It was a brilliant opportunity to introduce our work to new audiences — including families, young people, and community organisers — and to connect with leading organisations like Human Appeal, Ayaan Institute, Inspirited Minds, and Five Pillars.
The conversations we had here have already sparked follow-ups and interest in both our training offer and our wider youth engagement model. Events like this remind us how vital it is to stay rooted in the community while sharing a vision for what’s possible.
🧠 Thought Leadership & Research
Muslim Charities Forum
Our Community Engagement Manager, Muneeb, recently authored a reflective piece for the Muslim Charities Forum exploring the role of youth development in strengthening community resilience.
Drawing on our frontline experience, the article looks at what it means to truly invest in young people beyond tokenism or short-term projects.
We’ll share the full piece once it’s published.
Goldsmiths Research – Muslim Youth Futures
We’ve been contributing to an exciting new research project led by Goldsmiths, University of London, which explores the hopes, challenges, and leadership potential of Muslim youth in Britain today.
The report captures voices from across the country including young people we’ve worked with directly and highlights how faith, identity, and activism intersect in shaping their futures.
We’re proud to be part of a project that centres youth voices in such a meaningful way.
🙋🏽♀️ Be Part of the Impact: Volunteer with Us
Behind every powerful moment at Here for Youth, from a smooth training session to an unforgettable trek, are dedicated people making it all happen.
As we gear up for a busy season ahead, we’ve identified a clear need for more volunteer support at key events, including:
🏕️ Outdoor experiences (like the trek)
🎓 Training sessions (logistics & coordination)
🏆 Our end-of-year Awards Ceremony
If you or someone you know is ready to give back, grow skills, and be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on board.
