What a special start to the year! ✨
January brought our community closer together across multiple initiatives, alhamdulillah. It was filled with more training workshops and, for the first time, a book club.
With Ramadan on the horizon, here’s a recap of our recent efforts to build youth engagement and a snapshot of upcoming opportunities:

📚 Training & Coaching: Building Youth Worker Capacity
January saw the continuation of our How to Effectively Engage Teenagers (EET) workshops, part of our Training, Coaching and Accreditation Programme.
Training workshops were delivered at:
- East London Mosque (East London)
- North Finchley Masjid (North London)
- Women 4 Change (Leicester)
- Masjid Quba (Leicester)
We progressed through our coaching cycle, with 4 out of 6 sessions completed. These sessions were well-attended, and supported partners embedding learning into their youth provision.
Muneeb, our Community Engagement Manager, said of the sessions:
“Not only do they give you an idea about the need for the work that we do, but it’s also nice to see how different communities across the UK and in different places are trying to tackle this issue and are trying to be there for their young people.”

🎬 Award Ceremony Highlights
The energy from our recent award ceremony continues!
We’ve released partner interviews and ceremony videos featuring the incredible work achieved across our network.

📖 Youth Hubb Book Club
For this initiative, we partnered with The Gates of Jannah to provide Library Starter Packs. They were made up of 15 or more curated fiction books to support partners in launching their respective Youth Hubb Book Clubs and Libraries.
The response was phenomenal and we reached capacity for orders alhamdulillah.

🌿 EID TREK TO SEVEN SISTERS
Mark your calendars! We’re organising an exciting EID Trek to Seven Sisters in Seaford, East Sussex on Saturday, April 25th 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Raise funds to help us support our partners across the country
- Build community while enjoying the outdoors
- Spend the day surrounded by nature and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the coast
🤲 Volunteer Opportunities
We’re actively recruiting volunteers to strengthen our team. This month we are keen to fill a Digital Marketing Volunteer position.
This role is crucial as we expand our reach and impact.
We’re also looking for volunteers in:
- Community Engagement
- Fundraising
Whether you have marketing expertise or want to support in other ways, we’d love to have you on board.
🌙 Preparing for Ramadan
Ramadan is around the corner and now is the perfect time to prepare your heart, habits and intentions.
A few simple ways you can get ready:
- Set a clear intention: Grow this Ramadan, whether through strengthening your salah, reconnecting with the Qur’an, serving your community or building a habit that lasts beyond the month.
- Make space in your calendar: Plan ahead for taraweeh, reflection and meaningful time in the masjid.
- Offer your time: Many charities, including ours, will be hosting taraweeh collections throughout the month and we will need volunteers. If you’re interested, get in touch!
- Start your giving plan early: This is a Ramadan hack. Set up £1 or £2 a day via our LaunchGood page and they’ll give an extra donation on your behalf.
